Relaxing Day of Sailing - French Sailboat Company!
Fri Jun 28 2019 13:16:00 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)
It's been a relaxing day sailing as close to the light wind as reasonable. Reasonable is about 60 degrees off true wind which works best for overall forward progress considering waves on a loaded down flush deck Southern Light.
Late yesterday a French sailboat Geule De Bois 227364950 mmsi called on VHF. We both tracked each other on AIS in very light air until I decided to tack Northward. A father and son, last port Guadeloupe. Had a nice chat and will connect in Horta.
Nothing exciting today, only the solitary Man o War every hundred feet or so sailing by. It's so nice not having to deal with the leak and manual pumping every hour. Not run the engine but still have hot water. The thing I miss most is bread. I must get supplies and learn how to make stovetop. Crackers get boring quick. Eggs are holding out and Parmalat milk is amazing, on last container. Breakfast is a big deal. Bacon which I also miss has been gone a week.
Expecting to arrive in Horta around Tuesday. Have a fab weekend friends!
